Job description

Full-Time Permanent | Monday to Friday | PM Shift

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Yard Hand to join our busy Gosford operation.

This is a hands-on PM shift role with a start time between 2:00pm and 3:00pm and finishing around 11:00pm. You'll play an important part in keeping our freight moving safely and efficiently by loading and unloading linehaul trailers, moving freight around the depot and supporting general yard operations.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operating a forklift to move freight around the depot and yard.

  • Assisting with Loading and unloading linehaul trailers manually, safely and efficiently.

  • Moving, staging and organising freight ready for dispatch.

  • Assisting with general yard duties and maintaining an organised work area.

  • Working closely with drivers, dock staff and the Operations team.

  • Ensuring freight is handled safely to minimise damage.

  • Following load restraint and freight-handling requirements.

  • Completing relevant scanning or freight-processing activities as required.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe yard, dock and work area.

  • Following all Team Global Express safety policies, procedures and Chain of Responsibility requirements.

  • Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and safety concerns.

  • Supporting the wider team with operational duties when required.

What You'll Bring

To be successful, you'll need:

  • A current Forklift (LF) High Risk Work Licence – mandatory.

  • Recent practical forklift operating experience.

  • Previous experience in a transport, freight, warehouse, cross-dock or yard environment will be highly regarded.

  • Experience loading and unloading trucks or linehaul trailers.

  • Confidence working around trucks, trailers and moving equipment.

  • Good understanding of safe freight handling and load restraint.

  • Ability to safely perform manual handling and general yard duties.

  • Good level of physical fitness.

  • Strong attention to safety and awareness of your surroundings.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions while also working independently when required.

Working Hours

This is a Monday to Friday PM shift, starting between 2:00pm and 3:00pm and finishing around 11:00pm.

Some flexibility around start and finish times may be required depending on freight volumes and operational requirements.
