Organization Summary

Edify is a non-profit organization registered in the U.S. since 2009 and now has operations in 14 countries, including Burkina Faso, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ghana, Guatemala, Liberia, Uganda, Ethiopia, Peru, Sierra Leone, El-Salvador, Panama and Rwanda. Edify serves low-fee independent Christ-centered schools through three primary avenues, including loans, training and education technology. The vision of Edify is to see Flourishing, Godly Nations, and we seek to accomplish this by improving and expanding sustainable Christ-centered education globally.


Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator for the Edify-UoB iDE is a part-time role designed to support the strategic direction of the program. The individual will work closely with the UoB iDE Program Manager for the West Africa Region and receive technical assistance to maximize the completion rates of teachers who enroll in the program.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Application and Verification:
    • Ensure a smooth application and verification process.
    • Collaborate with the UoB iDE management team and Project Manager to set up registration platforms (e.g., Google Forms, registration portals, or fillable PDFs).
    • Provide prospective trainees with clear instructions, links, and requirements for submission.
  2. Acceptance and Induction:
    • After successful verification and registration payment, issue acceptance letters to applicants, induction/matriculation dates, etc.
    • Work with the Project Manager to communicate induction and matriculation details to trainees.
  3. Trainee Engagement and Follow-up:
    • Monitor trainee engagement on TalentLMS weekly to ensure they stay up-to-date and meet deadlines.
    • Conduct proactive follow-ups with trainees who may be falling behind
  4. Communication with Trainees:
    • Utilize email, WhatsApp, and TalentLMS to disseminate important information about meetings, mentoring, exams, assessment requirements, and deadlines.
  5. Liaison Officer:
    • Represent Edify in the country and handle any activities that may arise.
  6. Training:
    • Receive ongoing training and support from the UoB iDE and Edify teams throughout the program.
    • Participate in regular meetings to address any challenges or issues during the program.
  7. Reporting:
    • Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Project Manager.
    • Work closely with the Program Manager to document stories of impact resulting from the program.


Experience Required:

  • Educational Background:
    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Work Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in classroom teaching.
    • Previous experience in education as an administrator, educator, or consultant is preferred.
  • Leadership and Ministry Experience:
    • Experience in Christian ministry leadership is highly desirable.
    • Experience as a coach or mentor is preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent time management and self-directed initiative to meet goals.
    • A personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with Edify’s mission.
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • A strong willingness to learn and grow professionally.
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • Fluency in English is required; 
    • Strong technology skills (e.g., Google Drive, database entry, and communication tools such as email and WhatsApp).
