Job description

Job Title: Hypervisor Platforms Support Engineer
Location: Remote & Commutable to Santa Rosa, CA (Santa Rosa / Santa Clara / SFO)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 per year

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
3+ years of experience with at least one of the following:
VMware vSphere / ESXi
Microsoft Hyper-V
Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM)
Proficiency in VM lifecycle management.
Experience with HA (High Availability) and DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) configurations.
Strong understanding of virtual infrastructure administration and troubleshooting.
Roles & Responsibilities
Support and administer virtual infrastructure across VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, OLVM, and KVM environments.
Manage complete virtual machine lifecycle, including provisioning, patching, migrations, and decommissioning.
Support disaster recovery activities and virtual infrastructure resilience.
Configure and troubleshoot HA/DRS environments.
Participate in virtualization platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Support migrations toward modern or containerized platforms.
Maintain compliance with ITAR requirements and organizational documentation standards.
Monitor virtual infrastructure and troubleshoot platform-related incidents.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and incident records.
Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams.
Work independently in a regulated environment while following established processes and compliance requirements.
