Who you are:

As Content Director, you will lead CIEE's content strategy, creative production, and social storytelling for the BridgeUSA division. You will manage a small, high-output creative team, a copywriter, a graphic designer, a video content creator, and social and community interns, and you will be accountable for what that team produces, how fast it moves, and how consistently it represents the CIEE brand. This is a builder's role. You will source and scale authentic participant and employer stories, bring user generated content into the mix through our ambassador program, and look for practical ways to use AI to increase output without diluting quality.

  • Develop and own the annual content strategy aligned to growth priorities across participant recruitment, employer engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Manage the content calendar across all Direct markets and U.S. recruitment initiatives.
  • Lead production of participant stories, testimonials, user generated content, employer success stories, and partner content.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the copywriter, graphic designer, video content creator, and social and community interns.
  • Establish content production workflows, creative intake, prioritization, and quality standards so requests are delivered predictably.
  • Own brand consistency across all channels, markets, and partner facing materials.
  • Partner with the B2C and B2B marketing leads and with sales teams to create high converting assets.
  • Own organic social strategy and the central channel calendar, including community management standards.
  • Build ambassador and alumni content programs, including administration of the ambassador and user generated content platform.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for AI assisted content creation, adaptation, and localization at scale.
  • Manage freelance and contract creative resources, including contract video production.
  • Measure and report content performance: production volume, engagement, organic reach, asset utilization by sales teams, and lead generation contribution.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of content, editorial, or creative production experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing creative talent, including designers, writers, or video producers.
  • Portfolio demonstrating multi-channel content that drove measurable engagement or conversion.
  • Experience overseeing video and photo production from concept through delivery.
  • Demonstrated ownership of brand standards across multiple markets or business lines.
  • Working familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and project management tools such as Asana or Monday.
  • Practical experience applying AI tools to content production, adaptation, or localization.
  • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and say no with a reason when capacity is full.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work with remote field staff and colleagues across multiple time zones.
  • Innovative, creative, and flexible to a changing environment.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and a sense of humor.
  • A passion for CIEE's mission and global exchange!

CIEE believes that professionals with varied backgrounds bring unique approaches and ideas to solving problems and advancing our mission to bring the world together. Qualified candidates from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

Due to federal regulations and CIEE policies, a background check, reference check, and education and employment verification will be conducted as conditions of employment.
