Job Summary

 We are seeking a Plan Document Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help create and update retirement plan documents, including restatements, resolutions, and amendments. You will lead document plan design calls for new business clients with a focus on plan design. You will work closely with plan sponsors, advisors, and internal teams to ensure plans are set up correctly and remain compliant with current regulations. This position also involves assisting with documented-related projects as needed.  


Job Responsibilities

  • Plan design and document consulting, including being the lead on consultative plan document design calls with plan sponsors and advisors as part of the implementation/installation process on an ongoing basis.
  • Document preparation, including plan restatements and board resolutions.
  • Proactive follow up and coordination with all plan players regarding plan design and provisions.
  • Consult with Plan Sponsors regarding discretionary amendments and preparation of requested amendments.
  • Preparation of mandatory interim amendments/restatements.
  • Preparation of plan mergers and protected benefits analysis. 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience drafting plan documents and participant communications.
  • Ability to regularly lead client/advisor calls to provide consultative feedback related to the establishment, design, and ongoing administration.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent client service/communication skills.
  • QKA preferred.
  • FT William plan document experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.
  • Superb analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skill
  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, as well as manage and execute tasks.
  • Strong customer service orientation. 

Remote Work Information

Compensation Information

The average salary for this position is expected to be between $XX and $XX/[hour/year] however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We do not anticipate candidates to be paid at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
