WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a client-facing Senior Product Designer with deep expertise in both user experience and visual design to support a major federal modernization initiative focused on transforming investigative and data-driven systems.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual contributor with at least eight years of product design experience, prior consulting experience, and a track record of designing solutions for federal agencies. This person thrives in complex environments, can translate sophisticated workflows and data-intensive requirements into intuitive user experiences, and is comfortable partnering directly with government stakeholders, product teams, and engineers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Reporting to our Resource Manager, the Senior Product Designer will help design and enhance mission-critical digital products that support complex investigative operations, data analysis, and operational decision-making. Working closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams, you will apply human-centered design principles to create intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling experiences that improve usability, streamline workflows, support information discovery, and enable users to interact effectively with large volumes of interconnected data within a secure enterprise environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in UX, UI, or Product Design.
- Previous consulting experience in a client-facing environment.
- Prior experience designing solutions for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across user experience and visual design.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience conducting user research, prototyping, usability testing, and interaction design.
- Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and accessibility best practices.
- Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.
- Must reside within the United States: Candidates residing in New York, California, or Colorado are not eligible for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create wireframes, journey maps, workflows, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interface designs.
- Translate business requirements and user needs into effective interaction and visual design solutions.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, user research, and usability testing activities.
- Design experiences that simplify complex workflows and data-rich environments.
- Contribute to information architecture, navigation models, and design system development.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business analysts throughout the product lifecycle.
- Present design concepts and recommendations to client stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions align with accessibility, security, and enterprise design standards.
- Support agile delivery teams by refining and iterating designs based on feedback and testing results.
- Maintain consistency across products through reusable design patterns and standards.
