Job description

Overview:

Join ENERCON as an Electrical Engineer! Our Federal Services Group is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the team. Our team supports our federal clients to solve a wide range of critical engineering problems. Our work covers both nuclear and non-nuclear facilities as well as facility-related infrastructure. Services range from full-scale design of new or replacement facilities to life cycle management to maximize their useful life and availability to assisting with the decommissioning of facilities that have reached the end of their useful life. 

Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll drive innovation, lead cross-disciplinary collaboration, and guide projects from design to successful field execution. With a focus on excellence and teamwork, you’ll solve complex challenges and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results.

 

  • Collaboration & Coordination: Interface with various engineering disciplines and understand project roles
  • Design & Estimating: Prepare design studies, scopes, and engineering estimates
  • Procurement & Specifications: Develop equipment procurement specs, evaluate bids, and select equipment
  • Technical Expertise: Perform electrical calculations and solve complex technical problems
  • Field Engagement: Travel for walkdowns, field installations, and start-up
  • Leadership & Motivation: Lead teams with a positive attitude to achieve project goals aligned with ENERCON's excellence standards #LI-SH7 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with design of electrical systems including, but not limited to: 
    • Preparing engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings and engineering reports
    • Applying electrical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components
    • Producing procurement specifications and construction specifications (electrical sections)
    • Attending project meetings and perform field walkdowns
    • Mentoring junior engineers  
  • Experience working on DOE federal projects
  • Good writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Pay Range: USD $145,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr. Additional Information:
