Position Title: Public Health Program Supervisor (Systems Mapping)

Location: Remote (Candidate must be based in Missouri)
Employment Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Flexible, with core meetings during standard business hours (8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday)

About the Role

WiredPeople is seeking a Public Health Program (PHP) Supervisor for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). You will provide leadership and oversight for a statewide initiative to map shared public health resources and services across all 115 of Missouri's local public health agencies.

This position is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising a comprehensive service mapping project that identifies the availability, accessibility, and capacity of public health services. As a leader, you will ensure the collection of high-quality data, identify service gaps, and use findings to support strategic planning, policy development, and the equitable allocation of public health resources across Missouri.

Core Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise a statewide Local Public Health Agency (LPHA) Service Mapping Project.

• Develop and implement project goals, objectives, timelines, and work plans to ensure successful completion.

• Lead the collection, validation, analysis, and maintenance of comprehensive data on public health programs and services.

• Oversee the use of mapping and data visualization tools to identify service availability and gaps.

• Coordinate and collaborate with leadership and staff from all local public health agencies.

• Analyze statewide data to identify trends, unmet needs, and opportunities to improve service coordination.

• Present project findings to state health department leadership and local public health agencies.

• Provide technical assistance and training to local agencies on service mapping methodologies and data standards.

• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and organizational policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).

• Excellent leadership, supervisory, and project management skills (planning, prioritizing, monitoring).

• Strong understanding of systems mapping components and public health service delivery.

• Exceptional communication skills, including public speaking, technical writing, and meeting facilitation.

• Skilled in analyzing complex data and translating findings into actionable recommendations.

• Ability to develop clear data collection tools and training materials (PowerPoint, guidance documents).

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and represent DHSS professionally.

• Proficiency with communication software like MS Teams and WebEx.

• Must be a Missouri resident and able to travel to DHSS offices or other locations in Missouri as needed, using your own transportation.
