The Senior Manager, Clinical Content is a remote role responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding oncology clinical content that supports The US Oncology Network and McKesson. Areas of focus include management of a large regimen template library, disease and drug reviews for Value Pathways, P&T governance activities, educational resources, and oncology content delivered through clinical decision support tools. The role also serves as a strategic partner in identifying future clinical content needs and supporting initiatives that accelerate adoption of emerging oncology therapies across the Network.

The Senior Manager will deliver value by independently leading clinical programs, influencing cross-functional initiatives, contributing to strategic planning efforts, and developing proactive, technology-enabled content and tools that help anticipate Network needs and drives measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Content Development & Governance

  • Develop and maintain oncology regimen templates, decision support, treatment algorithms, clinical guidance, education, and related content.

  • Lead disease and drug reviews and provide clinical expertise for Value Pathways, P&T, regimen standardization, and physician governance.

  • Partner with clinical, technical, and operational stakeholders to ensure content is evidence-based, feasible, and aligned with Network priorities.

  • Ensure clinical accuracy, consistency, and patient safety across assigned content.

Clinical Strategy & Innovation

  • Monitor emerging therapies, evidence, guidelines, and treatment trends affecting Network practices.

  • Translate clinical intelligence into content priorities, governance recommendations, and adoption strategies.

  • Develop scalable, technology-enabled tools, workflows, education, and implementation frameworks.

  • Evaluate and develop AI-assisted content processes, technology-enabled solutions, and dynamic, workflow-aligned clinical guidance that improve scalability, efficiency, and user adoption.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze workflow, utilization, and stakeholder feedback to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Partner with analytics teams to define reporting requirements, success measures, and value metrics that demonstrate program adoption, utilization, and impact.

  • Use data and stakeholder insights to prioritize work and refine content strategies.

  • Redesign, automate, simplify, or discontinue low-value and high-effort processes.

Project & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead multi-stakeholder projects with clinical, technical, operational, and physician partners.

  • Develop and execute project plans for strategic clinical initiatives.

  • Facilitate decisions, build consensus, and communicate across diverse audiences.

  • Advise on clinical content, implementation, and adoption while balancing quality, feasibility, timing, and stakeholder needs.

  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures, playbooks, and workplans for Clinical Content programs.

Minimum Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree strongly preferred; active pharmacist license required.

Critical Skills

  • 4+ years of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in oncology pharmacy.

  • Expertise in oncology regimens, evidence evaluation, clinical pathways, EHR workflows, and clinical content development.

  • Demonstrated project leadership and influence across cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex clinical information for varied audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board certification, preferably Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist.

  • Post-doctorate pharmacy residency.

  • Experience with emerging therapy adoption and technology-enabled or AI-assisted clinical workflows.

  • Experience with analytics, performance reporting, process improvement, change management, or structured implementation.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $128,500 - $214,100
