About this job  

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating a highly scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise platform that supports key business capabilities. You will be part of a highly skilled Agile engineering team and serve as a technical leader responsible for driving architecture decisions, delivering complex initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence. 

This role requires a strong engineering background combined with the ability to independently lead technical efforts, influence system design, mentor other engineers, and respond effectively to critical production issues. You will work closely with Product Management, Architecture, DevOps, and Engineering leadership to balance business priorities with technical excellence while continuously improving platform performance, scalability, reliability, and security. 

Responsibilities  

  • Lead technical design discussions and contribute to the long-term architecture and strategic direction of a cloud-based platform. 

  • Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches to improve platform capabilities and operational efficiency. 

  • Define scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business objectives and engineering best practices. 

  • Independently design, develop, and deliver complex software solutions with minimal supervision. 

  • Build and enhance cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices. 

  • Optimize application performance and user experience through proactive monitoring and performance tuning. 

  • Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve platform stability. 

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through coaching, code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing. 

Qualifications

Required qualifications  

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in enterprise-scale applications. 

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Angular. 

  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, and microservices-based solutions. 

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues in mission-critical systems. 

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL technologies (MongoDB). 

  • Experience designing and supporting cloud-based solutions in Azure and/or AWS.  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 

Optional qualifications 

  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code. 

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads. 

  • Shell scripting and automation experience. 

  • Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions. 

  • Knowledge of BPMN tools and workflow orchestration platforms.
