Job description

๐ŸŒต Licensed Mental Health Therapist โ€” Arizona

Part-Time | Fully Remote | Arizona License Required | ๐Ÿ’ฐ Monthly Bonus Potential

๐Ÿš€ Help Us Build Something New in Arizona

Backpack Healthcare is expanding into Arizona โ€” and we're looking for clinicians who want to be part of the journey from the beginning.

Arizona is one of our newest markets, which means this is more than another therapist opening. You'll have the opportunity to help establish Backpack's presence, reach new families, and shape how we deliver care in the communities we're entering.

Backpack Healthcare provides accessible behavioral healthcare to children, teens, young adults, and their families โ€” all online and covered by most insurance.

We're clinician-led, minority-owned, and serious about both clinical outcomes and clinician support.

If you're looking for flexible part-time work, meaningful clinical impact, and the chance to get in early and grow with an expanding program, we'd love to meet you.

๐ŸŒŸ Why Join Us Now?

Joining Backpack's Arizona team means getting in at the ground level.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • ๐ŸŒต Help establish our Arizona clinical presence
  • ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Expand access to care for children and families across the state
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Grow alongside a developing program
  • ๐Ÿ’ก Help shape the culture and clinical community we're building
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Develop toward future mentorship, supervision, and leadership opportunities
  • ๐Ÿค Join an established organization while still having the excitement and influence of a new market

You won't just be joining the Arizona team โ€” you'll help build it.

๐Ÿ’ฐ $55/Hour + Monthly Bonus Potential

We believe flexibility and meaningful work should come with competitive compensation.

  • ๐Ÿ’ต $55 per billable hour โ€” LCSW, LPC, or LMFT with independent licensure
  • ๐ŸŽฏ Monthly bonus potential for eligible clinicians based on applicable productivity and performance criteria
  • ๐Ÿ’ต 401(k) with 3% company match
  • ๐Ÿ“š $150 annual CEU reimbursement
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Employee Assistance Program
  • ๐Ÿš€ Pathways into clinical leadership as the Arizona program grows

โญ Earn More Through Monthly Bonuses

Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn an additional monthly performance-based bonus on top of their regular billable compensation.

Bonus eligibility is based on applicable productivity and performance expectations, giving you another opportunity to increase your monthly earnings while being recognized for consistently providing high-quality care.

๐Ÿ• Flexibility Without the Hustle

You'll carry a target caseload of 15โ€“22 sessions per week, providing individual and family therapy through telehealth.

Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings, typically 2โ€“9 PM, with weekend availability a plus.

You build the schedule. We support the rest.

Backpack provides the referrals and administrative infrastructure so you can spend more of your time focused on your clients โ€” not searching for them or managing unnecessary administrative work.

๐Ÿง  What You'll Do

You'll provide compassionate, evidence-informed behavioral healthcare to children, teens, young adults, and their families.

Your work will include:

  • ๐Ÿ“ Conducting clinical assessments
  • ๐Ÿง  Developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
  • ๐Ÿ’ป Providing individual and family therapy through secure telehealth
  • ๐Ÿค Collaborating with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of our interdisciplinary team
  • ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Providing family education and care coordination
  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • ๐Ÿ’œ Building meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients and families
  • ๐ŸŒŽ Delivering culturally responsive care that recognizes each family's unique needs

๐Ÿ”Ž What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • Active Arizona license: LPC, LMFT, or LCSW
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families โ€” or a strong interest in this population
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Comfort with technology and virtual clinical platforms
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills โ€” strongly preferred

๐Ÿ’œ Why Backpack Healthcare?

Since 2020, we've served 12,000+ children and families through accessible behavioral healthcare.

78% of families report that their child is doing better after three months of care.

Now we're bringing that mission to Arizona.

Because we're new to the market, you'll have an opportunity that doesn't come along often: join an established behavioral healthcare organization while helping build a brand-new clinical community.

As the Arizona program grows, so will opportunities to take on mentorship, supervision, and clinical leadership roles.

๐ŸŒต Be There at the Beginning.

We're not just filling a position.

We're building something in Arizona โ€” and we'd love for you to help shape it.

๐ŸŽ’ When clinicians thrive, kids thrive. That's not a tagline. It's how we build.

Ready to Help Us Build Arizona?

If you're an Arizona-licensed therapist looking for flexibility, $55/billable hour, monthly bonus potential, meaningful work, and the opportunity to grow with a new market, we'd love to hear from you.

Backpack Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity in age, background, identity, experience, ability, and perspective โ€” and we're committed to creating a team that reflects the communities we serve.
