MDG Configuration — Senior Associate
Domain: Material Master (MDG-M)
Role Description
Provide functional/configuration support for SAP MDG Material Master in a production environment. The resource will troubleshoot governance and configuration-related issues, maintain MDG configuration, support business users, and partner with MDG developers and other SAP teams to resolve production incidents and deliver minor enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide functional/configuration production support for SAP MDG Material Master.
Troubleshoot Material Master Change Request and governance-process issues.
Support Change Request types, workflow, approvals, and related configuration.
Configure and troubleshoot field properties and business rules.
Maintain and troubleshoot validations and derivations.
Support BRF+ configuration and business-rule changes.
Troubleshoot Change Request activation and master-data processing issues.
Support DRF/replication configuration and analyze replication failures from a functional perspective.
Analyze production incidents and determine whether the root cause is configuration, development, integration, or data-related.
Support Material Master data-quality and governance requirements.
Perform configuration changes for minor enhancements and production fixes.
Prepare functional specifications when technical development is required.
Perform functional and regression testing and support production deployments.
Work closely with business/data owners, MDG developers, ABAP, Basis, integration, and S/4HANA teams.
Maintain functional documentation, known-error resolutions, and support procedures.
Required Skills
Strong SAP MDG-M / Material Master functional and configuration experience.
MDG Change Request and governance-process configuration.
MDG workflow and approval configuration.
BRF+.
Validations and derivations.
Field/control and Material Master configuration.
DRF and replication knowledge.
Understanding of MDG data models.
Material Master process knowledge.
Strong functional troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
Production-support/post-go-live experience.
