SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer – Datacenter to lead the hands-on implementation, support, and troubleshooting of enterprise datacenter infrastructure solutions. This role is primarily focused on engineering and implementation, with minimal architecture responsibilities.
The Senior Engineer will independently execute infrastructure projects from planning through completion and will work across compute, storage, virtualization, and backup/disaster recovery environments. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded infrastructure engineer who can take ownership of complex technical projects with minimal supervision.
Strong hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge and Pure Storage is highly preferred, with additional experience across VMware VCF, Nutanix, Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity, HPE, Cisco UCS, and NetApp considered valuable.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement, configure, and support enterprise datacenter infrastructure solutions.
• Independently execute infrastructure projects from planning and implementation through testing, documentation, and completion.
• Design and implement solutions based on defined technical requirements and established architectural guidelines.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain compute, storage, virtualization, and backup/disaster recovery platforms.
• Implement and support Dell PowerEdge servers and OpenManage management platforms.
• Implement, configure, and support Pure Storage FlashArray and FlashBlade environments.
• Support HPE ProLiant, Synergy, and OneView environments.
• Support Cisco UCS B-Series, X-Series, and Intersight environments.
• Implement and support enterprise storage platforms including HPE Alletra, HPE Primera, Dell PowerStore, PowerMax, PowerScale, and NetApp.
• Implement and support virtualization platforms including VMware VCF and Nutanix.
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery platforms, with emphasis on Rubrik, as well as Veeam and Cohesity.
• Participate in infrastructure migrations, upgrades, integrations, and modernization projects.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide effective technical resolutions.
• Conduct technical assessments and contribute to proof-of-concept or pilot activities when required.
• Provide technical support and escalation assistance to delivery and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architects and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions align with established standards and best practices.
• Work directly with clients and internal teams to understand technical requirements and deliver appropriate infrastructure solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network/infrastructure diagrams, deployment guides, and project documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Stay current with emerging datacenter technologies and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
• 6+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Datacenter Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own and execute infrastructure projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong technical experience across multiple datacenter domains, including compute, storage, virtualization, and backup/disaster recovery.
• Strong hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge / OpenManage and/or Pure Storage is highly preferred.
• Experience with VMware VCF and/or Nutanix virtualization platforms.
• Experience with Rubrik, Veeam, and/or Cohesity backup and disaster recovery technologies.
• Working knowledge of HPE ProLiant, Synergy, OneView, Cisco UCS/Intersight, NetApp, HPE Alletra/Primera, and Dell enterprise storage platforms is preferred.
• Experience with infrastructure migrations, upgrades, integrations, modernization, and enterprise deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems across multiple technology layers.
• Experience with technical assessments, solution implementation, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Ability to work with architects and engineering teams while independently handling implementation responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure best practices, high availability, performance, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong documentation skills, including technical diagrams, implementation guides, and project documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Relevant professional certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Pure Storage certification is highly preferred.
• Broadcom/VMware VCF certification is preferred.
• Rubrik RCSA is a nice-to-have but not required.
• Other relevant certifications such as Nutanix, HPE, Dell Technologies, Cisco UCS, NetApp, Veeam, or Cohesity are advantageous.
• MSP, systems integrator, consulting, or enterprise infrastructure experience is preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
