Job description

Product Specialist – Real Property Appraisal (RPA)
Aumentum Technologies | Remote (U.S.)

About Aumentum Technologies
Aumentum Technologies provides property tax and assessment software used by local governments across the country. Our platform supports assessors, appraisal districts, valuation professionals, treasurers, tax collectors, and auditors in managing complex public-sector processes.

We are a remote-first team with extensive industry experience. This role works closely with internal teams and public-sector customers to support the ongoing development and delivery of government software solutions.

The Opportunity
Aumentum Technologies is seeking a Product Specialist with deep property appraisal domain expertise to support our enterprise property tax solution. As a domain expert, the ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our product and engineering teams and our government customers — translating real-world appraisal needs into meaningful software solutions.

This role sits at the intersection of product management and customer engagement, partnering closely with the RPA Product Manager to keep project work anchored and grounded in the "why" behind each requirement. The right candidate will pair genuine appraisal-domain experience with RPA module knowledge to build trusted customer relationships and deliver solutions that hold up in real world appraisal operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements and business processes.
  • Apply appraisal-domain and RPA module expertise to understand the customer's business landscape and translate real-world appraisal needs into scalable product solutions.
  • Translate legislation, policy, and jurisdictional rules into clear, implementable product functionality.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers; lead domain-specific conversations, facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, and validate deliverables.
  • Support implementation and delivery activities across projects, ensuring solutions align with appraisal practices.
  • Define acceptance criteria and provide ongoing guidance to engineering and QA teams throughout development and testing.
  • Assist the RPA Product Manager in managing the product backlog, including prioritization, refinement, and sprint planning activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through sprint reviews, retrospectives, and product feedback loops.
  • Represent Aumentum's RPA expertise at customer reviews, user group meetings, and industry conferences.
  • Assist sales and delivery teams during product demonstrations, opportunity assessment and scope definition, particularly on domain-specific requirements, regulations, and deliverables.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools as a core part of daily work to streamline product workflows, sharpen analysis, and strengthen customer-facing solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (or equivalent domain experience).
  • Minimum 5 years in the property appraisal industry.
  • Experience with industry data sources and standards — CAMA, GIS, MLS, USPAP/IAAO.
  • Experience working with enterprise SaaS product, delivery, or implementation teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task across several concurrent initiatives.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across internal and cross-functional teams to define scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Understanding of legislative and regulatory trends in property appraisal and how they translate into software requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in property tax government systems
  • Familiarity with configurable platforms, rules engines, or business process-driven applications
  • Experience working directly with public-sector customers or regulated industries
  • Experience in applying AI-enabled tools

Why Join Aumentum

  • Opportunity to support mission-critical solutions for local government agencies
  • Work on complex, high-impact problems involving regulatory systems
  • Remote-first culture with a collaborative and experienced team
  • Direct influence on product design and delivery for enterprise government software

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year.
