The audio revolution is here – and iHeart is leading it! iHeartMedia, the number one audio company in America, reaches 90% of Americans every month -- a monthly audience that’s twice the size of any other audio company – almost three times the size of the largest TV network – and almost 4 times the size of the largest ad-supported music streaming service. In fact, we have:
More #1 rated markets than the next two largest radio companies combined;
We’re the largest podcast publisher, with more monthly downloads than the second- and third-largest podcast publishers combined. Podcasting, the fastest-growing new media, today has more monthly users than streaming music services or Netflix;
iHeart is the home of many of the country’s most popular and trusted on-air personalities and podcast influencers, who build important connections with hundreds of communities across America;
We create and produce some of the most popular and well-known branded live music events in America, including the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the iHeartCountry Festival, iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina and the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour;
iHeartRadio is the #1 streaming radio digital service in America;
Our social media footprint is 7 times larger than the next largest audio service; and
We have the only complete audio ad technology stack in the industry for all forms of audio, from on demand to broadcast radio, digital streaming radio and podcasting, which bring data, targeting and attribution to all forms of audio at an unparalleled scale. As a result, we’re able to combine our strong leadership position in audience reach, usage and ad tech with powerful tools and insights for our sales organizations to help them build success for their clients at a more efficient cost than any other option.
Because we reach almost every community in America, we’re committed to providing a range of programming that reflects the diversity of the many communities we serve – and our company reflects that same kind of diversity. Our company values stress collaboration, curiosity, welcoming dissent, accepting mistakes in the pursuit of new ideas, and respect for everyone.
Only one company in America has the #1 position in everything audio: iHeartMedia!
If you’re excited about this role but don’t feel your experience aligns perfectly with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. At iHeartMedia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace and are looking for teammates passionate about what we do!
What We Need:
The Clay and Buck Show is one of America’s most-listened-to radio programs, heard across 570+ U.S. radio stations, on SiriusXM, YouTube and other distribution outlets. The same program is released in podcast form for on-demand listening. The Associate Producer plays an important role in the preparation of materials and content research for the daily program, in addition to being a vital part of the program during its daily live broadcast creation.
What You'll Do:
The individual who fills this role is expected to know and provide the following:
An ongoing knowledge of the audience and their expectations for both information and entertainment while listening / viewing the program.
An excellent knowledge of current events in U.S. and world politics, news events across the U.S. and world.
The ability to determine the most impactful words shared from individuals who are a part of news stories or those covering them, elected politicians, appointed government officials, commentators appearing in television and radio programs, podcasts and speaking events and edit them to be made ready for consideration to be aired within the radio program.
The ability to work quickly to find and obtain audio originating from events happening in real-time during the programs’ broadcasts and make them available ASAP for the hosts consideration.
The ability to transcribe the words selected for possible airing and providing a proper context who and where the words originated from in summary form for the hosts to consider using and the other producers of the program to work alongside of.
An ability to screen phone calls from listeners of the show in such a way to determine the most entertaining calls that benefit the programs’ listening experience, and by supporting the hosts’ ability to further explore a topic from a different perspective or angle. This work requires a discerning ear and thought process, looking for only specific types of callers that are articulate, use good word economy and can be entertaining. This aspect of the position happens concurrently with listening to the program and maintaining a knowledge of the current conversations and what the hosts are saying on-air, requiring focus and concentration during the three hours of each program.
An interest and ability to schedule guests for the program, coordinating their appearance with specific times and technical logistics.
Maintain a general knowledge of the Executive Producer role of the program, so as to assume those responsibilities 20+ times per year while also maintaining current duties.

Maintain a trusting relationship with the hosts of the program, maintaining discretion for all conversations and actions within the studio environment and in separate communications before and after the program. Receive feedback from the hosts in a manner to help them maximize their listener relationships and audience size potential.

The opinions expressed may not be the same as your own, but your professionalism dictates allowing those opinions to be shared at the sole discretion of the hosts.
This is a full-time position requiring a physical presence in the studio and control room environment daily. It is not a remote working position. The position requires a knowledge of the broadcast clock of the program and being mindful at all times to be physically and mentally present during the same hours as the program originates, as well as the necessary hours beforehand and afterwards to prepare for the present program and future programs.
