AECOM is seeking a Substation Engineering Manager to lead and grow a talented team delivering critical power infrastructure projects across North and South America. What You'll Do

As Substation Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in both project delivery and business growth by:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of substation engineers
  • Building strong relationships with utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients
  • Supporting the successful delivery of substation projects from planning and design through construction support
  • Providing technical oversight and QA/QC
  • Partnering with regional leadership to grow the business and identify new opportunities
  • Helping drive technical excellence, quality, safety, and innovation across projects
  • Leading recruitment, career development, and team engagement initiatives
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across AECOM's Energy practice

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA +12 years of related experience with at least 4 years of experience acting in a leadership or practice-building capacity or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
  • PE
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in substation engineering
  • A passion for developing people and building strong teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing projects, clients, and technical teams
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and client success
  • PE in multiple states
