ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Staff Product Manager, Checkout, you will be responsible for defining and executing the future of checkout at VTEX. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive product adoption and customer migration. You will work closely with engineering, design, growth, and commercial teams to ensure we build and scale a best-in-class checkout experience for both B2B and B2C customers.

You will play a crucial role in increasing conversion rates by leading the development and adoption of VTEX's Checkout, an innovative, seamless, and high-performance solution that aligns with the latest industry standards.You will define the next phase of this product, taking it from launch to full adoption.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Checkout team is responsible for one of the most critical parts of the shopping experience: ensuring a frictionless and high-converting checkout process. The team is currently developing a new product, designed to redefine the way businesses handle both B2B and B2C transactions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Define and prioritize the future of checkout at VTEX, identifying key investments and areas for innovation.
  • Rethink and reshape how Merchants  extend and customize their VTEX experiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop and launch new features that improve checkout efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Influence internal teams, including our main platform FastStore.
  • Lead the adoption strategy for the new Checkout, including the migration of existing customers from legacy solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap, balancing short-term impact with long-term strategic growth.
  • Partner with Growth and Commercial teams to align go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product adoption.
  • Use data-driven decision-making to optimize checkout performance and enhance the user experience.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Degree in Engineering or related fields. 
  • Experienced Product Leader: Strong background in product management, ideally in e-commerce, fintech, or checkout-related products.
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform product strategies and measure success.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to define long-term product visions while executing short-term tactical improvements.
  • Execution-Oriented: Comfortable leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Customer-Centric: Deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and behaviors in digital commerce.
  • Strong Communicator: Ability to influence and align stakeholders across different teams and levels of the organization.
  • Industry Experience (Preferred but not Required): Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or checkout flows is a plus.
