We are seeking an EDI & Systems Integration Specialist for our client based in Germany. The role offers a remote work opportunity.


Role Purpose

The EDI & Systems Integration Specialist supports the reliable operation and continuous improvement of system integrations, with a particular focus on EDI and E-Invoicing. The role monitors integration flows, supports issue resolution, and coordinates the onboarding and implementation of EDI connections with internal teams and external partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EDI Product Owner in day-to-day operational activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor EDI connections and message flows, investigate errors, and coordinate or escalate resolution with the relevant internal and external teams.
  • Coordinate EDI onboarding projects with customers, vendors, and technical partners, including requirements clarification, testing, go-live, and initial support.
  • Support the development and enhancement of EDI capabilities, including testing, documentation, and implementation of changes.
  • Contribute to the rollout and implementation of E-Invoicing requirements across the EU.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including IT, Finance, Customer Care, and Retail Sales, as well as external development and integration partners.


Profile

  • Typically, 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in EDI, systems integration, application support, technical project coordination, or a comparable IT/business interface role.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic understanding of EDI concepts, standards, message types, and system-to-system integrations.
  • Initial hands-on experience coordinating technical projects, integrations, testing activities, or external partners.
  • Strong technical understanding and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Structured, process-oriented, and detail-focused working style with the ability to manage multiple topics and priorities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to business stakeholders.
  • Business-fluent English; German is an advantage.
  • Proactive, collaborative, adaptable, and accountable mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Work closely with the Process Application Product Owner and relevant business and IT stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Identify technical risks, limitations, and opportunities and recommend pragmatic solutions based on business value and implementation effort.


Profile

  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in software development, automation engineering, low-code development, AI application development, or a comparable technical role.
  • Experience designing end-to-end technical solutions and making architecture decisions across low-code platforms, APIs, AI services, cloud components, and custom development.
  • Strong hands-on development skills and demonstrated experience taking solutions from prototype through to productive use.
  • Experience with workflow and orchestration platforms such as Power Automate, Make, Voiceflow, or comparable tools.
  • Experience developing business applications using Power Apps or comparable low-code application platforms.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM services such as Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude, or comparable AI platforms into business processes and applications.
  • Practical Python development experience; experience with Azure Functions or comparable serverless environments is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of APIs, webhooks, authentication, JSON, data integration, and system-to-system communication.
  • Experience with testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and maintaining production applications.
  • Ability to select pragmatically between low-code/no-code, AI-based, and custom-developed solutions depending on the use case.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and support non-technical business users in developing their own solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, hands-on working style.
  • Business-fluent English and clear communication skills when working with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and accountability.
