Position Overview:
  • Seeking a Subject Matter Expert with strong experience in Boomi integration services and Grafana.
  • This role will focus on designing and developing advanced dashboards that provide clear, actionable visibility into the performance, health, availability, and operational status of the Boomi platform and its integrations.
  • The ideal consultant understands both integration architecture and observability practices, and can translate technical platform data into dashboards that support incident response, troubleshooting, service monitoring, and operational decision-making.
  • Key Deliverables:
    • Advanced Grafana dashboards for the Boomi platform and integrations.
    • Standardized operational and executive-level monitoring views.
    • Boomi integration health and performance metrics.
    • Alerting rules for failures, latency, throughput, and availability thresholds.
    • Dashboard documentation and operational runbooks.
    • Recommendations for improving platform observability and integration reliability.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced Grafana dashboards for the Boomi platform and associated integrations.
  • Develop dashboards that monitor integration health, transaction volumes, processing times, error rates, failures, retries, and service availability.
  • Define meaningful metrics, visualizations, alerts, and thresholds for Boomi integration monitoring.
  • Collaborate with integration, application, infrastructure, SRE, and operations teams to identify monitoring and reporting requirements.
  • Analyze Boomi platform and integration data to identify trends, performance issues, recurring failures, and potential service risks.
  • Establish monitoring standards, dashboard templates, naming conventions, and documentation.
  • Improve observability across integration processes, environments, runtimes, and APIs.
  • Configure and maintain Grafana alerts and notifications in line with operational support requirements.
  • Support root-cause analysis by providing dashboards and visualizations that help teams trace integration issues.
  • Validate dashboard data for accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Document dashboard functionality, data sources, alert logic, and support procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship on Grafana visualization and Boomi observability practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, monitoring, and operational workflows.

Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience developing and administering Grafana dashboards.
  • Strong experience with the Boomi integration platform, including integration processes, APIs, runtimes, or related platform components.
  • Experience monitoring enterprise integrations and distributed applications.
  • Knowledge of integration metrics, logging, error handling, retries, latency, throughput, and availability monitoring.
  • Experience working with data sources used by Grafana, such as time-series databases, logs, APIs, or relational databases.
  • Ability to create effective visualizations, queries, variables, drilldowns, and alerts in Grafana.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with engineering, operations, and application support teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Boomi, Grafana

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Grafana alerting, dashboard-as-code, or observability automation.
  • Familiarity with Prometheus, Loki, Elasticsearch, Splunk, InfluxDB, SQL, REST APIs, or similar monitoring technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and enterprise integration architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, SRE, CI / CD, and infrastructure monitoring practices.
  • Experience creating operational runbooks and support documentation.
  • Knowledge of API monitoring, event-driven integrations, and message-based architectures.
  • Relevant Grafana, Boomi, cloud, or observability certifications.
