Account Manager (Indiana, Michigan & Ohio) 

What You’ll Do At Elekta 

As an Account Manager within our Sales team, you will report to the Head of Sales, East/West Zone and own the commercial performance of assigned accounts across Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. You will develop customer relationships, create and progress a strong pipeline, support competitive conversions and expand Elekta’s market share across our portfolio of products, software solutions and services. 

Working closely with Strategic Account Directors, Sales Specialists, Service teams and other internal partners, you will guide opportunities from qualification through commercial negotiation and closure. This role offers broad exposure to Elekta’s portfolio, account management practices and sales methodology, with progressively increasing responsibility for customer relationships and territory performance. 

Responsibilities 

  • Own assigned order and revenue targets while supporting a profitable mix of products and services. 

  • Develop account-specific technology and capital replacement plans aligned with customer priorities and budgeting cycles. 

  • Lead opportunity strategy from qualification through proposal, commercial negotiation and closure. 

  • Build competitive conversion and new-account strategies that expand Elekta’s presence and market share. 

  • Build trusted relationships with existing and prospective customers through regular outreach, meetings, presentations, demonstrations and site visits. 

  • Identify customer needs and opportunities for upgrades, service contracts, software solutions and new products. 

  • Generate leads through consistent prospecting, whitespace analysis, cold calling and business development activity across competitive accounts. 

  • Partner with Strategic Account Directors, Sales Specialists and other account-team members on strategic and complex opportunities. 

  • Prepare quotations, proposals and supporting sales documentation in line with established approval processes. 

  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, opportunity, pipeline and forecast information in Elekta’s CRM/CLM systems. 

  • Contribute to monthly forecasting, pipeline reviews, account planning and customer success activities. 

  • Coordinate with Service, Marketing, Product Management, Finance and Contract Administration to support customers throughout the lifecycle. 

  • Maintain strong retention across the installed base and escalate customer concerns through established channels when needed. 

  • Follow the Elekta Sales Methodology, Business Governance principles, company policies and ethical standards. 

  • Represent Elekta at customer meetings and relevant local, regional and industry events, conferences and trade shows. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences or a related field. 

  • Two to five years of successful B2B sales or account management experience, preferably selling medical capital equipment, software or complex healthcare technology solutions to hospitals and health systems. 

  • Experience developing customer relationships, generating pipeline and progressing opportunities through a complex sales cycle. 

  • Strong communication, presentation and commercial negotiation skills. 

  • Ability to build trust and credibility with customers and internal stakeholders. 

  • Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a matrix environment. 

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Demonstrated initiative, accountability, adaptability and commitment to continuous learning. 

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. 

Preferred experience 

  • Medical device or healthcare industry experience. 

  • Experience in oncology, radiation therapy, healthcare IT or hospital environments. 

  • Knowledge of capital equipment sales processes. 

  • Familiarity with healthcare software solutions and information systems.

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time. 

    Salary:

    The US total salary potential for this position (base + variable) is $200,000-$220,000
