Job Overview

TauRx Therapeutics is a leader in Alzheimer’s research, dedicated to discovering, developing, and commercialising innovative products for the diagnosis, treatment, and cure of neurodegenerative disorders. Our mission is to combat one of the world’s greatest medical challenges by targeting the formation of tau protein 'tangles' in the brain. We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Remote Translator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring our ground-breaking research, clinical data, and corporate communications are accurately and effectively conveyed across multiple languages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific or medical translation and a passion for contributing to a cause that impacts millions worldwide. This position offers the flexibility of both part-time and full-time engagement.

* Develop and maintain a comprehensive glossary of company-specific and industry-related terminology.
* Manage translation projects efficiently, adhering to strict deadlines and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
* Adapt content to be culturally and linguistically appropriate for target audiences.

Qualifications

* Proven professional experience as a translator, preferably within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical research sectors.
* Exceptional command of English and fluency in at least one other language.
* A deep understanding of medical and scientific terminology, particularly in the field of neurology or neurodegenerative diseases.
* Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
* Proficiency in using Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools and terminology management software.
* A degree in Translation, Linguistics, a relevant life science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
* Certification from a recognised professional translation organisation is highly desirable.
