As a Senior Clinical Advisor, you’ll lead a well-established team of Allied Health professionals who play an important role in supporting positive recovery and return to work outcomes for injured workers.

Bringing your clinical expertise and strong injury management experience, you’ll provide leadership, coaching and strategic guidance to your team, while partnering with claims teams and stakeholders across the broader business. You’ll help navigate complex injury management matters, shape effective recovery strategies and ensure our people have the clinical support they need to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers.

This is a great opportunity to step into a role where you can lead people, influence outcomes and use your clinical expertise beyond individual case management.

This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Melbourne office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and provide responses to internal audits, emerging trends and claims management practices
  • Working closely with Managers to assess areas of improvement regarding treatment management in line with WorkSafe policies and procedures
  • Assist with the implementation of injury management, rehabilitation and vocational rehabilitation initiatives
  • Assist and guide Operational and Clinical Teams with escalations of complex matters
  • Follow up to ensure actions are completed on files in order to review and influence a continuing case management strategy and claim finalisation in line with regulatory guidelines
  • Identify, develop and support and/or implement new initiatives, quality and continuous improvement activities as part of a continuous improvement process in own work and team
  • Develop and maintain a strong working partnership with the Regulator.
     

ABOUT YOU

  • Allied Health qualification and relevant professional experience is required, such as Physiotherapy, Chiropractic or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Victorian Workers’ Compensation legislation. (Relevant to medical and treatment intervention) and the associated regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in injury management and strategic claims management, ideally within a claims agent, insurer or workers’ compensation environment.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous people leadership or management experience would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
