Software Engineer - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer - Remote position with a Leading Consumer Electronics Retailer located in Richfield, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $58.00 - $65.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role is focused on developing applications and building system integrations for an Enterprise Information Protection team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and resilient microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies, while also enhancing responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and resilient microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies
• Architect and implement robust backend solutions following microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and event-driven patterns
• Lead the design, development, security, and troubleshooting of RESTful APIs and integrations
• Develop reusable backend components and services, ensuring adherence to coding standards and security requirements
• Implement and optimize API gateways, service discovery, load balancing, caching, and resiliency patterns
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple products, platforms, and services
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end tests using JUnit, Mockito, and related frameworks
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices
• Develop and enhance responsive, user-friendly web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend teams to implement frontend features and integrate APIs
• Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Primary Requirements:

• Backend: Java 17, Spring Boot 3, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka/RabbitMQ, JPA/Hibernate, SQL/NoSQL Databases, API Gateway, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD
• Frontend: React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Redux/Context API, HTML5, CSS3, REST API Integration
• DevOps & Tools: Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, Swagger/OpenAPI, Monitoring & Logging tools
