We are Hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer!

Ready to build innovative web applications that make a difference? LIBERTY Dental Plan is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to help design, develop, and enhance our cloud-based applications while delivering exceptional digital experiences for our members, providers, and partners. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
 

Role Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will partner with front-end and back-end developers, business stakeholders, and end users to create, maintain, and optimize web and mobile applications. You'll play a key role in planning, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance while ensuring security, performance, and accessibility standards are met.


What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain LIBERTY's cloud-based applications.

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to define requirements and resolve technical issues.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance user experience across applications.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to review and clarify business requirements.

  • Perform operational application maintenance and support activities.

  • Follow software development, security, and compliance best practices.

  • Develop test plans, execute automated and manual testing, and validate solutions.

  • Design and implement backend APIs and integrations.

  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.

  • Create tools and solutions that improve workflow efficiency.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues, business partners, vendors, and end users.

 

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in full stack web application development.

  • 3+ years of experience designing digital customer experiences.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and back-end development technologies.

  • Experience with Angular 2+ or React.

  • Experience designing and consuming Web APIs, including authentication methods and CORS concepts.

  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, source control, and deployment processes.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipeline development.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture and system integration concepts.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • ASP.NET

  • C#

  • Python

  • VB.NET

  • MVC

  • Postman

  • SQL Databases

  • Docker

  • Azure and/or AWS Cloud Platforms


Work Environment

  • Office-based environment with standard office equipment.

  • Sedentary work involving extended periods of sitting, typing, and computer use.

  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong problem-solving, multitasking, and attention to detail.
