Location: Remote, with occasional onsite work at IRS locations

Position Overview

Booker DiMaio is seeking an experienced Oracle / Informatica Data Warehouse SME to support a technology initiative with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

This position will provide subject matter expertise supporting an enterprise Oracle data warehouse environment, including database development, data integration, ETL workflows, performance optimization, and data quality. The role will work closely with technical teams supporting reporting, analytics, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, and other enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, Informatica, and enterprise data warehouse environments, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex data and integration issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise supporting an enterprise Oracle data warehouse environment.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and queries.
  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL solutions and Oracle database performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Informatica ETL workflows.
  • Support data integration and ETL processes involving multiple source systems.
  • Develop queries and data views to support reporting, analytics, and business requirements.
  • Support data validation, integrity, quality, metadata, and data dictionary activities.
  • Troubleshoot database, data integration, and ETL issues and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Support integration between the data warehouse and reporting, SharePoint, Power Platform, and other enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with Power BI developers, application developers, and other technical personnel to support data and reporting requirements.
  • Provide technical documentation, guidance, and knowledge transfer as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle database development.
  • Strong PL/SQL development experience.
  • Experience developing Oracle views, functions, triggers, queries, and related database objects.
  • Strong experience with Informatica and ETL development.
  • Experience designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ETL workflows.
  • Experience working with enterprise data warehouse environments.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
  • Experience with data quality, data integrity, metadata, and data dictionaries.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex database, data integration, and ETL issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Federal government experience.
  • Experience supporting the IRS or Department of the Treasury.
  • Experience with procurement or acquisition data.
  • Experience integrating Oracle with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience with Power BI or enterprise reporting environments.
  • Experience working with SAP data sources.
  • Experience with external government data sources such as SAM.gov, FPDS, or USAspending.
  • Experience providing technical training and knowledge transfer.
  • Experience working in environments with federal security, governance, and compliance requirements.
