Job description

Brafton is one of the world's leading content marketing firms, with offices in Boston, London, Toronto and Sydney. We aspire to continually raise the bar on what people consider "marketing content." We create result-focused strategies and content to drive SEO, social engagement and leads for our clients. Our teams continuously build expertise across new media formats, including video, blogs, infographics and web design.

This is a remote, casual freelance opportunity. Location doesn't matter, but priority will be given to candidates near the GMT time zone.

Core Competencies
  • Fluent in both English and Japanese (spoken and written) - able to translate and adapt ad copy for Japanese audiences while maintaining brand tone and cultural nuance.

  • Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including Search, Performance Max and Display. Ideally for B2B clients.

  • Experience with local keyword research tools and methods relevant to the Japanese market (beyond Google Translate or automated translation tools).

  • Strong ability to analyze search term reports and keyword data in Japanese to inform optimizations and negative keyword lists.

  • Strategic & Analytical Capabilities
  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations on targeting, ad structure, and messaging for Japanese campaigns.

  • Familiarity with regional performance reporting - able to prepare insights and metrics that roll up to a global PPC framework (e.g., separate but aligned reporting for Japan).

  • Comfortable collaborating asynchronously across time zones with English-speaking teams.

  • Professional Requirements
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in paid media, ideally with international campaign management exposure.

  • Strong communicator, with the ability to provide clear written updates and context behind optimizations.

  • (Nice to have) Background working with multinational or B2B clients where Japan was one of the target regions.

  • Native, Fluent or Professional Japanese language proficiency

  • Bonus Skills But Not Essential
  • Experience on NAVER ads

  • Korean language proficiency
