Job description

About the role

The Growth Marketing team at JustGiving is responsible for driving acquisition and loyalty growth. We help more people and charities fundraise online, and help them raise more money.

We're looking for a confident, commercially minded Website Content Manager to help shape and improve the marketing content experience across our website.

This is a hands-on role for someone ready to take the next step in their digital content career. You'll combine strong website management expertise with excellent copywriting skills, taking ownership of content within our CMS and helping ensure our marketing-owned website experiences are clear, engaging, accessible and effective.

You'll be responsible for managing and optimising landing pages, information pages and key customer journeys, while helping establish strong content governance and publishing standards across marketing-managed content.

Working alongside our B2B content specialist, who focuses primarily on creating content for our charity audience, you'll focus predominantly on consumer audiences, including fundraisers and donors. You'll act as a key steward of content quality, user experience and conversion across marketing-owned website content, helping ensure customers can easily find information and take action.

Reporting to the Head of CRM & Digital, you'll bring specialist expertise in CMS management, content governance, information architecture, UX content and conversion-focused copywriting. You'll be the team's go-to expert on how website content should be structured, managed and optimised to support growth.

Key responsibilities:

CMS Management & Content Governance

  • Own day-to-day management of marketing-owned website content within our CMS.
  • Build, publish and maintain landing pages, information pages and campaign content.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for content governance, page structure and publishing best practice across marketing-managed website experiences.
  • Ensure content remains accurate, up to date, accessible and aligned with brand standards.
  • Conduct regular content audits to identify outdated, duplicated or underperforming content.
  • Work closely with our B2B content specialist to ensure a coherent experience across B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve navigation, page structure and customer journeys within marketing-owned content areas.

Website Copywriting & Content Optimisation

  • Write, edit and optimise high-performing website copy that drives clarity, engagement and conversion.
  • Create compelling landing pages and campaign experiences that support acquisition, activation and fundraising goals.
  • Translate complex information into simple, customer-friendly content.
  • Maintain consistency of tone of voice, messaging and brand standards across website content.
  • Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate content creation, optimisation and ideation while maintaining strong editorial judgement.
  • Ensure content is accessible, inclusive and easy to understand for a broad range of audiences.

User Experience, CRO & Performance

  • Apply UX writing and information architecture principles to improve website journeys.
  • Work closely with Search, Social, CRM and Design teams to optimise website performance.
  • Support acquisition growth by creating effective content experiences across paid media, SEO and GEO channels.
  • Bring a test-and-learn mindset to continuously improve website content performance.
  • Use analytics, user research and behavioural insights to identify opportunities for improvement.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Experience managing website content through a CMS (ideally WordPress or similar CMS platforms).
  • Strong understanding of content governance, publishing workflows and website content operations.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience creating landing pages and conversion-focused website content.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture and digital content best practice.
  • Experience using analytics and customer insight to improve content performance.
  • Working knowledge of SEO, GEO and CRO principles.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging customer content.
  • Strong project management, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Desirable

  • Experience in online fundraising, charities, non-profit organisations or mission-led businesses.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience working alongside CRM, acquisition or lifecycle marketing teams.
  • Experience using AI tools responsibly to support content workflows and optimisation.

What You'll Bring:

  • A passion for creating exceptional digital experiences.
  • Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail.
  • Confidence managing website content and influencing how it is structured, governed and improved.
  • A balance of creativity, customer empathy and commercial thinking.
  • Curiosity to test, learn and continuously improve.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Confidence challenging existing approaches and recommending better ways of working.
  • The ambition to become a recognised website content expert within the organisation.

Success in this role

You'll be successful if you can:

  • Maintain a high-quality, well-governed marketing content estate within our CMS.
  • Create landing pages and content experiences that support growth and conversion.
  • Improve how content is organised, governed and maintained.
  • Help customers find information more easily and complete key actions.
  • Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Product, Design and agency teams.
  • Bring specialist website content expertise that elevates the effectiveness of our digital experiences.
