Job description

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (“FMIC”) is located in Corona, CA. Our brand mission is to accompany each player at every stage with products and brand experiences that fuel the pursuit of musical expression.

We are currently searching for an exceptional Production Worker – Neck Mill to join our team. The Production Worker will operate woodworking machinery to shape and prepare wooden components used in guitar necks. This includes handling raw materials, using hand tools, and supporting multiple production stages. This position plays a key role in ensuring quality and consistency in Fender’s iconic instruments.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate woodworking equipment such as planers, sanders, and saws to meet neck mill specifications
  • Manage materials in the conditioning room and monitor wood moisture content
  • Perform glue-up operations for fretboards and necks
  • Plane wood to precise thickness and measurements
  • Drill jack holes and install paint handles as part of body prep
  • Move wood materials between workstations using carts or by hand
  • Inspect and measure thickness and fit according to manufacturing standards
  • Perform quality checks on parts to ensure defect-free production
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety protocols and operational guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with guitar-building hand tools strongly preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to craftsmanship and quality

Subject to the foregoing, the current pay rate for this position is $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.
