We are seeking an experienced Resource Manager to join our North America team on a 14-month fixed-term contract. This is a high-impact role for a collaborative professional who excels at balancing business needs, workforce planning, and employee development while driving operational excellence.

As Resource Manager, you will oversee the planning, allocation, and optimization of resources across projects and practices. Working closely with Delivery Leadership, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and Operations teams, you will help ensure the right people are assigned to the right work at the right time, enabling exceptional client outcomes, strong employee engagement, and business growth.

This role offers the opportunity to influence workforce strategy, improve resource management processes, and provide data-driven insights that directly impact organizational performance.

What You'll Do

Resource Planning & Allocation

  • Lead resource planning and staffing activities across North America to ensure optimal utilization and project success.
  • Recommend staffing solutions based on skills, experience, availability, development goals, and business priorities.
  • Manage resource requests, balancing client demands with workforce capacity and business objectives.
  • Monitor utilization, workload distribution, and realization metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Actively manage bench resources by aligning consultants to upcoming opportunities, certifications, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with global resource management teams to maximize capacity, staffing flexibility, and operational efficiency.

Workforce Strategy & Analytics

  • Analyze workforce trends, utilization data, and business forecasts to inform strategic staffing decisions.
  • Identify capability and skill gaps and provide recommendations to support future business needs.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to leadership regarding resource risks, shortages, and capacity constraints.
  • Partner with People & Culture and leadership teams to drive certification planning and workforce readiness initiatives.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with global resource management peers to establish and maintain best practices.
  • Support cross-practice and cross-region staffing initiatives to improve resource flexibility.
  • Contribute to enhancements in resource planning systems and processes, including Salesforce, Certinia/FinancialForce, and Anaplan.
  • Maintain data integrity across resource management tools and ensure compliance with established staffing processes.
  • Develop and manage reporting dashboards and workforce analytics that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement & Team Leadership

  • Build trusted partnerships with Delivery, Sales, Operations, and People teams.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders on workforce planning, utilization, and staffing strategies.
  • Coach and mentor junior Resource Managers and support their professional development.
  • Deliver training and guidance on resource management tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Lead staffing discussions with confidence, using data and business insights to influence decisions and drive alignment.

Talent & Hiring Strategy

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to identify current and future hiring needs.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives that prioritize scalable, flexible, and multi-skilled talent.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, PMO, Consulting Operations, or a similar function.
  • Proven experience balancing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, teams, and geographies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and resource planning platforms such as Salesforce, Certinia/FinancialForce, and Anaplan.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Resource Management Certified Professional (RMCP) certification.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • Experience working within a professional services, consulting, or technology organization.
