Heil Law Firm is a growing Texas law firm known for its commitment to client service, justice, and community impact. As the firm continues to expand, we are building additional legal support capacity across the organization, including within our commercial team.

We are seeking an internationally trained attorney or experienced legal professional to join our commercial team in a Paralegal/Commercial Legal Assistant capacity. This role is designed for a legally trained professional who can provide substantive legal support while gaining meaningful exposure to U.S. legal processes and working alongside experienced U.S. attorneys.

This position is a legal support role and does not require U.S. bar admission. Candidates should be comfortable applying their legal education and professional experience in a Paralegal/Commercial Legal Assistant capacity while working under the direction of the firm's attorneys.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Commercial Legal Support: Assist our commercial team with sophisticated legal support tasks, including drafting and reviewing documentation, supporting contract-related matters, conducting legal research, and assisting attorneys with ongoing commercial legal work.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and contribute to successful client outcomes.
  • Client Communications: Collaborate with attorneys to handle client communications, ensuring clarity and understanding on all case matters.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize legal documents and case files, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible for timely review.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within the commercial pods to ensure seamless operations and support cross-functional teams with ongoing projects.
  • Administrative Tasks: Undertake additional administrative responsibilities as needed to support the operational efficiency of the commercial team.
