Senior Business Development Manager (New Business Focus) – Benelux

The Role

As part of our expansion in the Benelux region, we are growing our team and looking for an experienced, technical Senior Business Development Manager based in the Netherlands.

Our local team has already built a solid foundation with strong ISP and telecom partners. Your main goal will be to use these partnerships to win new enterprise customers in the entire Benelux region. Your initial focus will be on Financial Services (Banks, FinTechs, Financial Markets) as well as Critical Infrastructure (utilities).

Reporting to our Benelux Lead, you will be the key person driving opportunity pipeline and new customer growth across the region.

You will:

• Win New Customers: Find, contact, and close deals with medium to large enterprise customers, focusing on Financial Services and Critical Infrastructure in Benelux.
• Use Existing Partnerships: Work closely with our Benelux Lead and ISP partners to turn network partnerships into direct customer deals.
• Manage the Full Sales Process: Handle the entire sales cycle—from finding leads and contacting decision-makers (CISO, CIO, Head of Network/Security) to holding technical meetings, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
• Be a Trusted Advisor: Explain SCION technology to the market and position Anapaya as the top choice for secure and reliable networking.
• Give Market & Product Feedback: Share direct customer feedback with our Product and Marketing teams to help improve our offer for the Benelux market.

What you bring:

• New Business Sales Experience: 7+ years of proven success in B2B enterprise sales, specifically getting new customers in the tech, telecom, or cybersecurity sectors.
• Existing Network: A strong network of contacts (CISOs, CIOs, IT & Network Leads) in the Dutch financial or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of modern network tech (carrier networks, SD-WAN, BGP, routing, MPLS) and cybersecurity topics (DDoS protection, Zero Trust).
• Location & mobility: Living in the Netherlands with a good understanding of local business culture. Willing to travel within Benelux for client meetings, alongside occasional trips to our HQ in Switzerland for team collaboration.
• Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (French or German is a bonus).
• Motivation: High self-motivation, strong drive to close deals, and excitement for bringing new technology to the market.
