Job description

The Company

Asia Football Group (AFG) is the exclusive commercial agency for the Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) competitions from 2023-2028. AFG's partnership with the AFC covers the commercial rights for all major AFC National Team and Club competitions, including the AFC Asian Cup™, AFC Asian Qualifiers™, AFC Women's Asian Cup™, AFC Women's Olympic Qualifiers, AFC Champions League Elite™, AFC Women's Champions League™, and AFC Champions League Two™ as well as AFC youth and futsal competitions.

Driven by a shared passion and dedication to Asian football, our industry experts have a wealth of experience in global, regional, and local football marketing and are devoted to delivering exciting and engaging Asian football content to fans on the ground, on screen, and online. Working closely with the AFC and its stakeholders, Asia Football Group strives for the success and growth of Asian football, as well as redefining Asian football’s commercial standing within global football by addressing the shared business objectives of the AFC, its sponsors and media partners with solutions derived from optimising brand activations, fan engagement and digitally driven innovations.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Video Editor to work with the Marketing and Digital team at AFG. You’ll be responsible for ideating, creating and re-purposing video assets to be used for a range of sponsorship activations, fan engagement initiatives, and marketing promotional campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and edit audio-visual assets for brand activation and fan engagement campaigns across various digital channels based on briefs.
  • Professionally edit, splice, and synchronise raw footage (primarily featuring football players, teams, statistics, and related content), incorporating audio FX, music, and motion graphics to transform each video into a compelling piece of content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to contribute video ideas, interpret briefs, and translate strategic objectives into engaging visual narratives.
  • Deliver assets on time and to specification, maintaining consistency and meticulous attention to detail-including but not limited to brand applications, copy (player/team names, scores, country flags, etc.), and timing of transitions.
  • Adapt and localise video content for regional markets as needed, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Stay ahead of emerging video trends, platform updates, and editing techniques to ensure content consistently engages audiences and drives strong view retention.
  • Manage and organise video assets, including raw footage, project files, and final exports, ensuring efficient archiving and accessibility for future use.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Highly creative mindset with excellent video editing and post-production skills. Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design and video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro X.
  • Advanced motion graphics skills are a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of branded content and football video production—with an eye for what resonates with sports audiences.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of assets in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a "can-do" team-player attitude.
  • A genuine passion for or knowledge of sports, particularly football, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools (e.g., generative AI, editing, or ideation platforms) to support creative development is an advantage.
