Job description

Market Development Manager – Korea 

Gratz Pilates, the original manufacturer of Pilates equipment, is looking for a Market Development Manager. This role blends business development, community engagement, and hands-on operational support. You will represent Gratz locally, build strong industry relationships, and drive growth in sales, brand presence, and customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Expand Gratz’s presence across studios, teacher training programs, and partners. 
  • Partner with Gratz Customer Service team to solve customer service issues in the region. 
  • Support Marketing and Customer Service in executing new studio openings, studio expansions, and events. 
  • Strengthen brand visibility and community trust through social, events, studio visits, and relationships with key partners. 
  • Oversee local service partners, local parts availability, periodic bulk shipments, and maintain smooth coordination with HQ teams. 
  • Provide structured market insights back to HQ. 

Role Details: 

  • Full-Time 
  • Location: Seoul 
  • Domestic travel for studio visits and events; periodic regional travel to support events, U.S. travel for training and alignment. 
  • Reports to a U.S.-based director and works closely with a global team. 

Qualifications 

  • Intermediate - Advanced Classical Pilates experience required.

  • Completion of a 600+ hour Classical Pilates training program (or 300hr+ Classical bridge program) and teaching experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of business or operational experience. 
  • Comfortable learning and teaching basic equipment maintenance. 
  • Professional, proactive, and highly trustworthy. 
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder. 
  • Able to operate independently while collaborating with a global organization. 
  • BA/BS (4-year degree) preferred.
