As our Technical Leader (Fullstack), you'll take ownership of our technical direction while staying close to the code. You'll guide a growing team of engineers, drive architectural decisions, and champion the use of AI across our entire development workflow. 

Key Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: Own architecture decisions across React, Next.js, and Node.js, setting the technical standard for the team.
  
• Team mentorship: Coach engineers through reviews, pairing, and direct guidance, raising the bar across the board. 
  
• AI-driven development: Champion AI tools to accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and build smarter features. 
  
• ML integration: Lead integration of machine learning capabilities into product features, particularly within trading and fintech contexts.
  
• Cloud infrastructure: Architect and operate scalable, reliable systems on AWS, built to perform under real market conditions. 
  
• Stakeholder alignment: Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and communicate progress clearly across the organisation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in full-stack development, with at least 2 years in a lead or principal engineering role.
  
• Leadership: Proven ability to mentor, grow, and inspire a team of developers in a fast-paced environment.
• Backend-Oriented: While capable across the full stack, you are primarily a backend engineer at heart and have extensive experience building scalable backend systems and architecture.
• Frontend: Expert-level proficiency in React, Next.js, and modern frontend patterns.
  
• Backend: Deep command of Node.js, RESTful APIs, and scalable backend architecture.
  
• Cloud: Hands-on experience architecting and managing infrastructure on AWS or equivalent platforms.
  
• AI tooling: Actively uses AI-powered tools to boost personal and team output, and instils this mindset in others.
  
• ML integration: Background implementing AI/ML-driven features, particularly in fintech or trading applications.
  
• Trading Industry Experience: Previous experience working within trading, Forex, CFDs, capital markets, or other financial trading environments is required.
• Trading Knowledge: Strong understanding of trading systems, market infrastructure, order execution flows, risk management, and financial products.
