Our Client
Our client is bringing ownership of its digital platform in-house and is building a new Digital Products Team. This is a rare opportunity to be the first technical hire, take full technical ownership of a key business platform, and help turn it into a commercial growth engine for online ordering, customer retention, gross profit, and operational efficiency.

The immediate priority is to make the website secure, stable, reliable, and easy to trade through. Once that foundation is in place, you will help shape the next generation of digital products, AI tools, and web-based applications that strengthen customer engagement and support business growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the Social Stack website platform, including development, upgrades, performance, reliability, and ongoing improvement.
  • Maintain website security, uptime, compliance, backups, monitoring, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly, professionally, and with clear communication.
  • Own the technical roadmap, balancing stability, technical debt, customer experience, and commercial growth.
  • Manage testing, deployments, release planning, change control, and post-release reviews.
  • Improve site speed, user experience, conversion, online adoption, repeat ordering, and customer retention.
  • Build and maintain integrations with ERP, CRM, reporting tools, Microsoft 365, and relevant third-party systems.
  • Map customer journeys and remove barriers that make online ordering harder than it needs to be.
  • Create clear, scalable, and maintainable documentation covering architecture, code, releases, integrations, and support processes.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Services, Operations, and Finance to prioritize development that delivers measurable business value.
  • Design and build web-based applications, client tools, and AI-powered solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen customer relationships, and support business growth.
  • Develop client-facing tools that improve ordering, reporting, onboarding, and retention.
  • Develop internal automation tools that reduce manual administration and speed up routine processes.
  • Create AI-powered assistants, dashboards, or workflows that help teams and customers make better decisions faster.
  • Use analytics, customer feedback, and sales insight to prioritize work that has the greatest commercial impact.
  • Identify automation opportunities for customers using third-party purchasing or procurement systems.
  • Support the client’s objective of achieving 90% digital sales by 2027, increase customer adoption of online ordering, and reduce dependency on manual order processing.
  • Help shape the long-term evolution of the digital platform, including evaluating future technologies and migration opportunities where appropriate.
