What You'll Be Doing

You'll lead the design and delivery of a mission-critical AI platform layer that powers all products across the company. This includes:

• Building cloud-native APIs in Python (FastAPI) on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS Fargate)
• Defining OpenAPI 3.1 specs and generating SDKs (PHP, JS) for seamless integration
• Optimizing performance with caching, idempotency, rate limiting, and request deduplication
• Engineering fault-tolerant systems with circuit breakers and policy-based routing
• Implementing observability dashboards using CloudWatch and Datadog
• Orchestrating async jobs via SQS, Step Functions, and EventBridge
• Collaborating with product teams to ensure smooth developer experience
• Driving cost and model quality optimization initiatives

What You Bring

• 5+ years backend development experience
• 3+ years with Python (FastAPI preferred), async programming, and streaming
• 2+ years working with distributed/cloud-native systems
• Strong AWS expertise: Lambda, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Aurora, Redshift
• Proven experience designing REST APIs with OpenAPI 3.1
• Familiarity with LLM platforms (Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, Gemini, etc.)
• Solid understanding of security best practices and CI/CD workflows
• Excellent communication skills across time zones

Bonus Points For

• Experience with semantic caching, vector databases, or RAG architectures
• Familiarity with AI/ML evaluation pipelines and prompt management
• PHP/Laravel SDK development experience
