About this Job:

Location: MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and surrounding area

Summary:

MedStar Health is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven professional to serve as a Physician Relations Liaison, helping strengthen connections between MedStar providers and referring physicians throughout the community. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted ambassador for our health system—building partnerships with physician practices, healthcare organizations, and hospital leaders to help ensure patients receive the right care at the right time.

This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel between office locations throughout the assigned territory. The employee will spend the majority of their time conducting onsite visits, with administrative responsibilities completed remotely from home. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly within the territory are required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and strengthen relationships with physicians, office staff, and healthcare organizations across an assigned region to increase awareness of MedStar Health services and providers.

  • Drive referral growth by conducting regular in-person outreach visits, identifying new referral opportunities, and supporting stronger physician-to-physician connections.

  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies by reviewing referral data, monitoring market trends, and identifying opportunities to expand referral partnerships.

  • Serve as a trusted resource for referring providers, addressing referral process questions, resolving access issues, and ensuring a positive experience working with MedStar Health.

  • Track outreach activities and maintain reporting, including documenting physician visits, monitoring referral trends, and coordinating outreach events and educational opportunities.

Minimal Qualifications:
Education

  • Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Marketing/Sales, HealthCare Administration, or related field. 
  • One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience

  •  4+ years of experience in healthcare sales, physician relations, healthcare marketing, or related outreach roles. 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
This position has a hiring range of : USD $71,843.00 - USD $135,907.00 /Yr.
