About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in Python development and working knowledge of frontend technologies to join our client's engineering team. In this role, you will design and implement scalable backend systems while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering leads. You will play a key role in evolving a sophisticated platform used by marketing professionals, ensuring high performance, maintainability, and technical excellence across multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Python (Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks).
• Build and manage Python-based GraphQL servers and scalable SQL data models using SQLAlchemy ORM.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and frontend engineers to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions.
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain React-based forms and state management for platform integrations.
• Ensure backend performance, reliability, and security across multi-application environments.
• Contribute to technical decision-making, ensuring solutions balance business needs and engineering best practices.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle from planning and architecture to deployment and monitoring.
• Promote code quality, reusability, and adherence to modern development standards.
• Stay updated with new technologies and tools relevant to backend and cloud engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, building scalable and production-grade applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python (Flask/FastAPI or similar) and Python 3.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and ORM (SQLAlchemy) frameworks.
• Practical experience developing GraphQL (Python-based) servers.
• Proficiency with Docker, Terraform, Serverless Framework, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of Linux/MacOS development environments.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

• Background in adtech, analytics, or financial systems.
• Familiarity with React, particularly in form and state management.
• Exposure to multi-app or monorepo architectures and real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern UI libraries (e.g., Mantine).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Can start immediately, if possible.
