AutoCAD Drafter Solar PV & Battery Storage (Remote)

We're currently looking for an AutoCAD Drafter to work with one of our clients in the renewable energy sector. This is a remote opportunity to contribute to impactful utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across Australia.

About the Role:
You'll be working closely with the client's engineering team to support the production of high-level and technical drawings for solar PV and BESS projects. The work will begin with concept design such as 2D layouts and single line diagrams (SLD)and evolve into more detailed drafting tasks as projects progress.

This role is suited to someone who is comfortable working remotely, highly skilled in AutoCAD, and eager to support Australia's transition to renewable energy.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for preparing project-specific geolocated concept designs and assisting engineers with design iterations during the early stages of project development. Over time, your scope may expand to include 3D modelling, Civil 3D integration (including terrain data and cut & fill plans), Bill of Materials, cable schedules, and other technical tasks. You'll also be expected to maintain drawing standards in accordance with the company and Australian planning and utility guidelines.

Who Were Looking For:
We're looking for a drafter with strong AutoCAD proficiency, an ability to interpret technical instructions, and an eye for logical, optimised layouts. Attention to detail and excellent file organisation are essential. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working under tight timelines and delivering quick design iterations.

Desirable Experience:
Experience in solar PV or BESS projects, 3D drafting (especially Civil 3D), exposure to GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, AutoCAD Map 3D), and previous work on Australian infrastructure projects will be highly regarded. A basic understanding of planning application processes, including buffer zones and easements, is also advantageous.
