Title : Enterprise AI & Power Platform Engineer

Location : Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (Remote)

Rate : $50/hr on W2

Enterprise AI Administration | Automation | Governance | Platform Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise AI & Power Platform Administrator / Engineer to administer, secure, govern, automate, and support enterprise AI and low-code platforms.

The role will be responsible for the administration and operational management of Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Power Platform. The successful candidate will establish platform governance, security controls, automation frameworks, operational procedures, and monitoring capabilities while supporting enterprise users, citizen developers, and application teams.

This position requires deep technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, enterprise AI governance, scripting, APIs, identity and access management, security, compliance, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise AI and Platform Administration

Administer and support enterprise deployments of Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Power Platform.

Configure and maintain tenant settings, administrative policies, security controls, and platform baselines.

Manage platform licenses, capacity, environments, connectors, access, and lifecycle activities.

Develop governance standards for AI assistants and agents, prompts and prompt libraries, enterprise connectors, knowledge sources, AI-generated content, and agent actions and integrations.

Establish operational procedures for platform monitoring, auditing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support.

Coordinate platform upgrades, feature releases, service changes, and deprecation activities.

Maintain platform inventories, configuration records, access models, and administrative documentation.

2. Automation and Scripting

Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, Microsoft Graph APIs, and REST APIs.

Automate user and license provisioning, environment provisioning, access reviews, compliance validation, platform health checks, capacity reporting, audit reporting, and configuration management.

Build reusable automation frameworks, scripts, modules, and operational tools.

Implement appropriate error handling, logging, security, version control, and documentation for automation solutions.

Reduce manual administrative effort through standardized and repeatable automation.

3. Power Platform Enablement

Administer and support Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform Admin Center.

Support citizen developers and business units in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining low-code solutions.

Provide guidance on solution architecture, environment selection, connectors, data integration, security, and deployment.

Assist development teams with complex technical issues and production troubleshooting.

Define and maintain Power Platform environment strategies.

Support Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) across development, test, staging, and production environments.

Promote reusable components, approved connectors, secure design patterns, and platform best practices.

Help establish and operate a Power Platform Center of Excellence framework.

4. Security, Risk, and Compliance

Implement and maintain enterprise security controls across AI and low-code platforms.

Partner with Security, Compliance, Privacy, Risk, and Identity teams to support data protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) enforcement, identity governance, role-based access control, Conditional Access, auditability, records and information governance, and regulatory compliance.

Conduct security and risk reviews of AI agents and assistants, enterprise connectors, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, knowledge sources, API integrations, and automation scripts.

Ensure that agents, applications, and workflows follow least-privilege access principles.

Monitor for unauthorized connectors, unmanaged environments, excessive permissions, data exposure, and policy violations.

Support internal audits, security assessments, regulatory reviews, and remediation activities.

Maintain evidence and documentation needed for compliance and audit requirements.

5. AI and Platform Governance

Define governance standards for the secure and responsible use of enterprise AI.

Establish platform guardrails covering agent creation and publishing, prompt management, knowledge source approval, connector usage, data access, environment management, human oversight, and monitoring and audit requirements.

Establish approval and review processes for production agents, applications, integrations, and automation workflows.

Develop standards for AI agent ownership, support, lifecycle management, and retirement.

Partner with business and technology stakeholders to balance innovation, usability, security, and compliance.

Track platform risks, exceptions, remediation actions, and governance decisions.

6. Platform Engineering and Integration

Evaluate new AI capabilities, platform features, connectors, and administrative controls.

Assess new features for security, compliance, operational readiness, supportability, and enterprise value.

Support integrations with enterprise applications, data sources, identity platforms, and APIs.

Design and maintain operational runbooks, support procedures, technical standards, and knowledge articles.

Contribute to platform roadmaps, technical architecture, engineering standards, and service improvement initiatives.

Support proofs of concept and controlled pilots for new AI and low-code platform capabilities.

Provide technical recommendations to architecture, security, engineering, and business stakeholders.

7. Monitoring and Operational Support

Monitor platform health, availability, performance, consumption, and capacity.

Investigate and resolve complex incidents involving AI, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, connectors, automation, and integrations.

Develop dashboards, operational reports, service metrics, and compliance reports.

Participate in incident response, major incident management, root-cause analysis, and problem management.

Identify recurring issues and implement preventive or automated corrective actions.

Manage escalations with internal engineering teams, Microsoft, Anthropic, and other technology providers, where applicable.

Maintain service documentation, known-error records, troubleshooting guides, and operational knowledge.

Support service continuity and recovery planning for business-critical solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Strong experience administering enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environments.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

Demonstrated experience developing advanced automation using PowerShell and APIs.

Experience implementing platform governance, DLP policies, environment controls, and security standards.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, identity governance, and role-based access.

Experience supporting production platforms using incident, problem, change, and service-management practices.

Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across platforms, integrations, APIs, identity, security, and network dependencies.

Experience creating technical documentation, operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and governance standards.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with Security, Compliance, Architecture, Engineering, Operations, and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience administering third-party enterprise AI platforms such as Claude Code and Claude Cowork.

Experience establishing governance models for AI agents, prompts, knowledge sources, and connectors.

Experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender, audit, eDiscovery, information protection, and compliance capabilities.

Experience implementing a Power Platform Center of Excellence.

Experience with managed environments and enterprise-scale Power Platform ALM.

Experience integrating AI and low-code platforms with enterprise systems.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automated configuration management.

Experience in a regulated enterprise environment such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other compliance-intensive industries.

Experience working with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, request, and knowledge-management processes.
