Job description

Who We Are:

We build the intelligence that lets robots sense, reason, and act in the real world—moving beyond the lab and into everyday industrial settings like warehouses and factories. Our technology closes the automation gaps that traditional systems can’t solve. We are on a mission to redefine how physical work gets done, and we’re looking for curious, bold thinkers to help shape the future of robotics with us.

Overview:

We are looking for a Director People & Culture (m/f/d) to support our employees from recruiting to development, and to strategically and operationally establish and expand our HR function.

Your Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Design and conduct structured onboarding programs to integrate new employees effectively.

  • Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, feedback evaluations, and process improvements.

Employee Development & Culture

  • Develop and implement training and development programs to foster sustainable growth among team members.

  • Actively shape a positive corporate culture by promoting team-building activities, a strong feedback culture, and high employee satisfaction.

Support & Advice

  • Act as the central point of contact for managers and employees on all HR-related and labor-law issues.

  • Develop HR guidelines and processes (e.g., vacation policies, working time models, compensation and bonus structures).

Strategic Expansion of the HR Function

  • Gradually build an HR team, including recruiting, onboarding, and developing new colleagues.

  • Collaborate closely with management and other departments to devise a future-oriented people strategy.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Completed degree (e.g., in Business Administration, Psychology, HR Management) or comparable qualification.

  • Several years of professional experience in HR, ideally in a fast-paced environment (startup, tech company, etc.).

Professional Competencies

  • Solid knowledge of labor and social security law. Experience in recruiting and employee development, ideally with a focus on employer branding and cultural initiatives.

Soft Skills

  • Hands-on mentality and a high degree of initiative.Strong communication skills, empathy, and enjoyment in working with people.

  • Structured, solution-oriented work style and the ability to build and advance processes independently.

  • Excellent German and English skills (spoken and written).

Perspective

  • Motivation to shape and scale the HR function strategically.

  • Enthusiasm for working in a tech-driven environment with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths.

Our interview plan:

  • Application

  • Cultural fit interview (40 min): A conversation about how you work, what motivates you, and what you’re looking for. Expect CV highlights, your “why,” and time for your questions.

  • Take‑home assignment: You’ll complete a short, role‑relevant task with clear instructions and a deadline.

  • Interview with CEO (30–45 min): A discussion on vision, impact, and how the role connects to company priorities.

  • On‑site visit: Meet the team at our office and collaborate on a real challenge similar to the work you’d do here. You’ll get a clear feel for the environment and ways of working.

  • External interview: Speak with an external partner or advisor for an independent perspective on your skills and fit.

What We Offer:

  • Wellpass (gym membership)

  • Flexible working hours

  • Option to work from home when needed
