  • Job Title: Operations Assistant – Florida Construction

  • Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone / 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET)

  • Compensation: $900 – $1,500 / month (DOE)

  • Start Date: Mid to Late September 2026

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Operations Assistant to keep our projects moving efficiently from permit application to completion.

Role Overview

As an Operations Assistant, you will manage permitting workflows, maintain project schedules, handle light project coordination, and provide day-to-day administrative support to company leadership. You will act as an operational anchor, anticipating team needs and ensuring strict compliance with local Florida regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Permit Management: Prepare, submit, and track permit packages for Florida construction projects, ensuring full adherence to local building codes.

  • Scheduling & Timeline Tracking: Maintain construction timelines, schedule trade partners, and monitor project milestones.

  • Light Project Coordination: Support day-to-day project management tasks, track deliverables, and facilitate clear communication across team members and contractors.

  • Executive & Operational Support: Manage leadership calendars, triage emails, handle ad hoc operational tasks, and keep daily workflows running smoothly.

  • Software Management: Utilize JobTread, Microsoft Excel/Word, and related construction tools to manage project data and operational tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Florida Regulatory Expertise (Non-Negotiable): 3+ years of direct experience pulling permits and navigating Florida building codes and municipality processes.

  • Industry Background: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction operations, project coordination, or as an EA/Operations Assistant within the construction industry.

  • Language Skills: Native or full professional fluency in written and spoken English.

  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and construction software. Hands-on experience with JobTread is a major plus.

  • Work Style: Self-directed, highly organized, and able to manage competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or compliance.

Candidates without construction background in Florida (USA) will not be considered.
