Job description

Rivora is the financial brain for third-party logistics (3PL) companies. We model profitable pricing and catch margin leaks for 3PLs with zero integration required. We've raised millions from world-class VCs and work with massive 3PLs and retailers.

Our product is powerful but not finished. We need an experienced analytical operator who will sit between Rivora and our enterprise customers, validate the outputs, catch what the platform misses, and deliver the answer the customer needs today, even when the product can't get there alone.

You'll work directly with our CTO, who has spent 15+ years deep in 3PL and fulfillment economics, including founding and exiting one of the most respected fulfillment companies in the space. Over time, you'll become the operator who knows Rivora's data model better than anyone outside engineering.

NOTE: This is a contract position and we are looking for 35-40hr/week and availability in Pacific Standard Time zone.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ingest and transform large (1M+ rows), complex datasets from multiple messy sources

  • Own data validation and end-to-end QA across the full pipeline: inputs, transformations, model outputs, customer-facing artifacts

  • Build and validate scenarios and outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability

  • Investigate edge cases, surface data quality issues, and work with engineering to fix them at the source

  • Partner with internal teams to define and refine data workflows

  • Sit on customer calls with senior leadership, including VP+ and C-suite at our 3PL and retail customers; translate their data reality into Rivora workflows

  • Build the playbook for how Rivora is delivered to enterprise customers as we scale

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Rivora's outputs are accurate, defensible, and trusted by customers

  • You catch issues before customers do, and your QA instincts shape how the team thinks about data quality

  • You build deep product and data model expertise that makes you the go-to internally and externally

Within your first few months:

  • You are independently managing data workflows and delivering outputs customers can confidently use

Overtime

  • You develop deep familiarity with Rivora’s product, data model, and edge cases, becoming a go-to resource for both internal teams and customers

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-8 years in implementation, data analysis, analytics engineering, or operations roles where you owned data quality end-to-end.

  • Strong SQL and Excel. Python or similar is mandatory. Comfortable with the modern data stack.

  • Demonstrated ability to own data quality and validate outputs end-to-end.

  • Exposure to product operations or QA-heavy roles.

  • Experience working with data-driven products or platforms.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.

  • Strong communication skills in client-facing and stakeholder-facing settings.

  • You're energized, not frustrated, when the product can't yet do what the customer needs. You love the hunt for the solution!

You're a fit if you: move comfortably between raw data wrangling and executive-ready reporting, and take ownership of data quality end-to-end.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or parcel shipping

LOGISTICS

  • Contract role (30–40 hrs/week)

  • PST working hours

  • $55–$70/hour
