IMPACT ACOUSTIC®

Building Materials Manufacturing

Founded in 2019 by Sven Erni and Jeffrey Ibañez, Impact Acoustic® has rapidly become a leading Swiss innovator in sustainable acoustic design. With teams across Lucerne, Milan, Manila, and San Diego, the company transforms waste and bio-based resources into sophisticated acoustic materials adopted by global design-driven brands. For The New State of Materials, Impact Acoustic unveils a focused installation dedicated to ARCHISONIC® Cotton, a next-generation acoustic material crafted from natural cellulose fibers. The exhibition reveals the material's full story – from the raw natural ingredient to the earth pigments that give each tile its mineral-based tonality. The brand's ongoing research expands into additional natural fibers, such as jute, coffee and coco, opening new pathways toward low-impact architectural surfaces. While the presentation centers on ARCHISONIC® Cotton, the company's broader portfolio includes four other material families – ARCHISONIC® Felt, Textile, Riftcut, and Mycelium. Each embodies the brand's design ethos: circularity, technical performance, and expressive architectural presence. These materials define wall and ceiling systems, partitions, and lighting elements that elevate acoustics while shaping contemporary interior atmospheres.
