We are seeking a talented QA Engineer with deep expertise in comprehensive testing and test automation to join our high-performing engineering team, working remotely within Canada. In this pivotal role, you will champion the quality and reliability of our web and mobile client-facing applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams in an Agile environment to build, execute, and integrate robust test strategies that ensure reliable, high-quality product releases.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for various product features.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for front-end applications and APIs/back end services using industry-standard frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
  • Conduct comprehensive permutations and combinations and exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and maximize feature coverage.
  • Monitor the CI/CD regression testing pipeline. Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs through to resolution for the product releases.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management and Engineering on acceptance criteria and solution designs.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Hands-on experience building UI automation using Cypress and Playwright 
  • Hands-on experience building API service test automation using Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or Postman.
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows and best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of QA fundamentals, software testing best practices, and standard test management tools such as Zephyr or TestRail 
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Fintech, Wealth Management, or Financial Services firm.
