Your Mission 

As a Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of client work in Switzerland, with a focus on Zurich-based clients and teams. You will take end-to-end ownership for delivery quality, predictability, and client satisfaction, acting as the day-to-day counterpart for client stakeholders and ensuring that commitments are met consistently and transparently. 

You will ensure that projects run with discipline and clarity, that teams are set up for success, and that clients experience the difference of working with a boutique firm that takes execution seriously. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

Client ownership and delivery leadership 

• Own delivery for one or more client accounts, including planning, scope control, delivery quality, and stakeholder management. 

• Drive clear execution routines: priorities, milestones, risks, decisions, and proactive communication to clients and internal leadership. 

• Ensure reliable monthly delivery reporting and follow-ups with clients. 

• Anticipate delivery risks early and resolve them with speed and clarity, involving leadership when needed. 
  
  

Team leadership and operational excellence 

• Coordinate staffing and team setup across Switzerland and nearshore locations, ensuring the right people are on the right problems at the right time. 

• Take ownership of key operational responsibilities that should not sit with senior technical leadership, such as onboarding and offboarding coordination, internal project ownership, and practical support around team setup. 

• Help keep team structures healthy and scalable, with small, effective reporting lines. 

• Work closely with senior engineers and leadership on delivery constraints, technical trade-offs, and pragmatic decisions, while keeping accountability for outcomes. 
  
  

Commercial awareness (in support of leadership) 

• Support account growth through excellent delivery, identifying follow-up opportunities, and contributing to client trust and retention. 

• Understand the basics of contract- and SOW-based delivery, change requests, and enterprise delivery expectations.

This role is for someone who is client-facing, structured, and calm under pressure, with a strong sense of ownership and delivery discipline. 

You are someone who: 

• Has several years of experience managing delivery in IT consulting, software engineering, data platforms, or similar technical environments. 

• Is trusted by clients and teams because you communicate clearly, follow through, and raise issues early. 

• Enjoys running projects with disciplined routines, without unnecessary bureaucracy. 

• Can coordinate multi-skilled teams with a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset. 

• Understands what “quality” means in a software delivery context and does not compromise on basics such as testing, transparency, and predictability. 

• Is comfortable working in English in an international environment; German is a strong plus for Zurich-based client work. 

• Experience in insurance or reinsurance is an asset but not required.
