BIG PICTURE:

We are searching for a talented and detailed VFX Artist to help us create realistic effects for our short cinematic viral videos! We have an awesome team of editors, screenwriters, casting associates, directors, and shooters so this role would require performing all of the technical aspects of VFX at a high eye-catching/appealing level. The ideal candidate will be a pro at creating live action effects including but not limited to smoke, fire, and water. Ultimately, possessing a strong creative ability and a thorough understanding of simulation techniques. Since we are a mission-led company and all of the content we create inspires people, the right candidate will find this creative role to be exciting and highly satisfying! 

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:

• Creating custom setups, templates, and a wide range of VFX
• Compositing effects seamlessly into live action plates
• Demonstrating creative solutions to technically challenging VFX requests
• Working with the team to achieve the required end result within the established deadlines while offering constructive suggestions to improve the process
• Cleaning up/removing unwanted objects and designing to create the contents of the screen replacements

 WHAT YOU HAVE:

• 3+ years of experience as VFX Artist within a post production environment 
• A portfolio that demonstrates advanced and realistic VFX
• High-level of experience with After Effects and Mocha AE; Autodesk 3ds Max is a plus
• High knowledge in tracking with experience in screen replacements using Mocha and After Effects 
• An excellent understanding of digital formats and post production workflows to troubleshoot and creatively problem solve editorial challenges
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment on a wide variety of projects
• Skilled in handling quick and consistent output without sacrificing quality
• A team player with excellent communication 

WHO OVERSEES YOU:

The VFX Artist will report directly to the Editing Manager

WHO YOU OVERSEE:

Currently, the VFX Artist has no personnel reporting directly to him or her

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:

Our VFX Artist will work remotely from home or personal office and will be required to utilize Dhar Mann Studios time tracking software to log and submit work hours

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:

This role will require 20 hours or less a week from 9am - 6pm pst, schedule will be discussed during interview

Compensation: $17 per hr
