Job description

Sales Director (REMOTE)

The RepTrak Company is the world’s premier provider of reputation data and insights, helping businesses harness reputation intelligence to secure competitive advantage. RepTrak’s predictive insights enable subscribers to safeguard business value, optimize ROI, and amplify their positive societal impact. Combining advanced metrics with dedicated reputation advisors, RepTrak delivers actionable analyses that align business goals with stakeholder sentiment across global markets and diverse industries.

Established in 2004, The RepTrak Company owns the world’s largest reputation benchmarking database, gathering over 1 million company ratings per year used by CEOs, boards, and executives in more than 60 countries worldwide.

The Role

The Sales Director leads the full sales cycle for accounts in a designated territory — from first-meeting qualification of business challenges, through technology demonstration, proposal delivery, proof of concept of advisory support, and negotiated close — selling a subscription that combines the RepTrak Compass platform with embedded advisory services. This requires comfort with both a consultative, longer-cycle advisory sale and a SaaS-style technical demo, often within the same deal.

Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Establishing a keen understanding of Reputation Management and Stakeholder Measurement, and communicating the key challenges facing corporate communications teams in building and protecting a sustainable company reputation.
  • Selling and demonstrating the RepTrak Compass platform — dashboards, benchmarking, and AI as a Stakeholder — alongside the embedded advisory relationship (strategic sessions, briefings, workshops) that comes with each subscription tier.
  • Developing deep fluency in the priorities of Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, Marketing and Sustainability as well as HR, Investors Relations and Risk Management, and building multi-threaded relationships across at least three stakeholders per account before a deal progresses.
  • Understanding and confidently defending RepTrak's market research methodology — primary research, normative benchmarking, and multi-stakeholder data — to research-savvy buyers who will scrutinize sample quality and comparability.
  • Actively building pipeline through social selling — including LinkedIn prospecting, posting and ongoing engagement with leads and target-account stakeholders through social a core prospecting channel alongside outbound and inbound.
  • Driving all new sales through every stage of the pipeline, from lead generation to closed deal.
  • Building and managing a high-quality prospect pipeline through account targeting, inbound lead follow-up, prospecting, and networking into an assigned territory.
  • Leveraging research, marketing content, and events to stimulate prospects and sustain an ongoing dialogue that moves them through the sales cycle.
  • Scheduling, professionally presenting, and providing consistent follow-up on all sales meetings.
  • Owning day-to-day pipeline management against team KPIs, including:
  • Bookings — meeting or exceeding assigned quota
  • Pipeline generation — hitting quarterly pipeline creation targets
  • Completed and future meetings — maintaining a consistent, forward-booked meeting cadence
  • Salesforce hygiene — keeping opportunity, contact, and activity data accurate and current
