Job description

Contract type: Freelance
Location: Fully remote

Oliva is the go-to mental wellbeing and performance platform for companies that genuinely care about their people—and want to help them grow, nurture and not burn out.

We combine evidence-based therapy, professional coaching, wellbeing coaching, and group coaching sessions to build healthier, more sustainable high-performing teams. Every individual gets support tailored to their needs—whether they’re going through a tough time, navigating a challenge at work, or just looking to improve their mental fitness.

We don’t stop at human care. Each user is also supported by Oli, our intelligent AI assistant that helps reinforce key techniques and guidance between sessions—making the impact of each session go further.

Oliva works with a diverse network of world-class coaches, therapists, and psychologists—and we’re expanding our Wellbeing Coaching team to meet growing demand.

The project:

As a Wellbeing Coach at Oliva, you’ll work with clients experiencing challenges (e.g. stress, low mood, anxiety, confidence, motivation), helping them build momentum and apply practical strategies to improve wellbeing and performance—both in and outside of work.

Sessions are 40 minutes long, remote, and goal-oriented, and focus on helping clients make meaningful, measurable progress. They are delivered through our platform which allows you to manage your case load, escalate risk and receive support yourself.

You’ll be part of our wider Mental Health Professional Community—a collaborative group of therapists, coaches, and facilitators across Europe. We value curiosity, compassion, and commitment to growth—and provide regular supervision.

What you will do:

  • Deliver 40-minute wellbeing coaching sessions via the Oliva platform
  • Help clients set and work towards goals
  • Use approaches to build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and wellbeing habits
  • Encourage accountability and problem-solving between sessions
  • Collaborate with the wider care team and participate in regular supervision
  • Use our digital tools (including our AI assistant, Oli) to complement and extend the impact of your sessions
  • Invoice us as a freelancer in your local currency

    You'll be successful if:

    • You have a Bachelors or Masters in Psychology, counselling, coaching or similar.
    • Some experience of working with people who have common problems such as anxiety or depression or knowledge of the mental health space.
    • Have appropriate accreditation or membership with a recognised body.
    • You are a warm, passionate and ambitious individual.
    • You are proficient in English (verbal and written), extra languages at working proficiency are a plus.
    • You are open to new processes and change.
    • Already have some understanding of change mechanisms used in evidenced-based interventions.
    • You are a quick learner.
    • You are able to receive and act on feedback and critically reflect.
    • You are able to work in a fast paced, ambitious organisation.
    • Are able and willing to invoice as a freelancer in your country of residence.
    • Already have (or are willing to obtain) professional indemnity insurance.

    What's next:

    • A self-recorded video interview
    • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a more in depth video interview or short chat.

    Diversity & Inclusion

We know the tech industry has a diversity problem. Without proactively addressing this, we could easily end up hiring a lot of very similar people. So we’re enthusiastically encouraging applications from underrepresented groups in our industry. We hire with fairness and awareness—and we mean it.

Whoever you may be: regardless of age, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, religion, disability, background, or identity, we’d love to hear from you. If you need any adjustments during the interview process, let us know and we’ll accommodate.

    Who we are

Oliva is a mission-driven mental wellbeing platform built by people who’ve been through it themselves—burnout, anxiety, low self-esteem, and all the challenges life and work can throw at you.

We’re a tight-knit team of designers, engineers, psychologists, and operators who believe that proper mental health support can change lives—if it’s delivered by the right people, in the right way. That’s where you come in.

Our co-founders—Javier Suarez, Sançar Sahin, and Huw Slater—have built and scaled well-known tech companies like TravelPerk, Typeform, Hotjar, and GetApp. They know the emotional rollercoaster of high-performance environments, and they're committed to building something different: a company that supports both performance and wellbeing.

If you’ve ever wished mental health support was easier to access, more practical, or just… better, you’re in good company. That’s the gap Oliva is here to fill—and we’d love to do it alongside passionate freelance professionals like you.
