As a Broadcast Monitor, you will serve as the critical front line for our clients' media coverage—acting as their essential eyes and ears for broadcast content throughout the day. Operating within our DataOps department, your core mission is to review live radio and TV broadcasts to create highly accurate, concise summaries and apply crucial metadata under strict real-time deadlines. Your work ensures that Isentia’s diverse client base remains instantly informed of key media coverage and brand reputation trends as they develop.
Shift Pattern:
AEST - 5am - 1pm Tuesday to Saturday or AEDT - 4am - 1pm Tuesday to Saturday
Summarization & Quality Control: Listen to and view assigned ANZ broadcast content to write clear, standalone summaries that capture the absolute essence of a media item. You will consistently apply the PASS framework (Proper Nouns, Accuracy, Spelling and Grammar, and Saleability) to meet strict QA thresholds.
Metadata Management: Identify key interviewees and contributors from on-screen chyrons and accurately populate relevant metadata fields.
Schedule & Workflow Ownership: Complete your daily broadcast monitoring schedule efficiently. You will proactively flag any programming conflicts or delays to your Team Leader to maintain seamless workflow continuity.
Client-Centric Focus: Actively implement quality feedback and stay updated on evolving client needs via internal platforms like Google Chat and Broadcast NewsDesk.
Continuous Growth: Engage in regular 1-on-1 coaching, team mentoring sessions, and exciting mini-projects designed to sharpen your skills and support your career growth.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, International Studies, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1+ years of experience in the BPO or media industry.
Language & Communication: Exceptional oral English skills and excellent written English, with an uncompromising focus on spelling and grammar.
Technical & Media Instincts:
The ability to easily recognize and interpret various regional accents and voices across the ANZ region.
A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
Proficiency using Google Workspace/Google products.
Personal Qualities: You are self-motivated, flexible, and highly organized. You can multitask under pressure, adapt to constantly changing news content, and deliver to strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
Work-from-Home Infrastructure: A reliable internet connection.
